The Algerian Martyrs' Memorial, also known as the Maqam Echahid, is a prominent monument in Algiers, Algeria, built to commemorate the Algerian War of Independence and its victims. The monument was officially opened on July 5, 1982, the 20th anniversary of Algerian independence.
